Sponsored by the Honors College, Auburn University’s 2018 Common Book is “One Amazing Thing”, written by Chitra Divakaruni.  “One Amazing Thing” tells the fictional story of a group of people from different cultures and backgrounds who, after becoming trapped together by an earthquake for days, use stories about “one amazing thing” from their lives to help them survive.  Come hear from Chitra Divakaruni about why she wrote “One Amazing Thing”, stories from when she was writing the book, and her thoughts on the book’s influence today.  Her keynote will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience and a book signing.
