The Office of Public Service will host "The Leadership Compass: Appreciating Diverse Workstyles" a training about personnel development. 

 

About the Speakers

Jonathan Fisk has taught at Auburn University since 2015. At Auburn, he teaches graduate courses in Public Personnel Management, Leadership and Ethics, and Organizational Theory and Administrative Behavior. He is also a board member for American Society of Public Administration’s Section on Environment and Natural Resource Administration, the Faculty Advisor to the Auburn University International City and County Management Association Student Chapter, the Vice President for the Alabama Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration. Before coming to Auburn, he served as a research associate with the League of Kansas Municipalities and worked with local leaders across Kansas.

 

Daphney Portis, a native of Prichard, AL, is pursuing her Master of Public Administration with a certificate in Nonprofit Organizations and Community Governance and is the Graduate Assistant for the Office of Academic Assessment. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Auburn University. During her time at Auburn, Daphney has led multiple outreach initiatives and continues to display her commitment to the Auburn/Opelika community through her service with several nonprofit organizations, including Our House and the Boys and Girls Club. She incorporates self-awareness, community engagement, and identity techniques in her leadership styles in order to increase the capacity of young people to lead effectively.
