Presented by JCSM and OLLI at Auburn, students will learn about the pleasure-seeking culture and art that rose to prominence in the Edo-period in Japan (1600–1867). The presenters for this six-week program include Scott Bishop, Dennis Harper, Andrew Henley and Marilyn Laufer from the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, as well as Joshua Pifer from the Department of Music. Participants will enjoy lectures, a gallery tour, a Japanese musical performance, and a hands-on block printing class.

The fall 2015 semester selections are programmed in conjunction with Along the Eastern Road: Hiroshige’s Fifty-Three Stations of Tokaido. Admission is free.
