Former astronaut and retired Navy Capt. Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper will hold a seminar at Auburn University on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 4 p.m. in the Sciences Center Auditorium. Her seminar, titled “Tribology in Space,” will highlight her experience lubricating
mechanical systems on the International Space Station. Stefanyshyn-Piper was a NASA astronaut from 1996 to 2009, participating in two space shuttle flights and five spacewalks. For more information about the seminar, contact Robert Jackson at
