The public is invited to a reading by Dick Graves, author of Still Point: Poems and Meditations.


Still Point: Poems and Meditations is a book of poems, stories, and meditations that speak to a variety of life experiences. It reflects spiritual growth and depth, and points the way toward healthy and joyous living. Included are insights, remembrances, reflections, and reconciliations.


Dick Graves is a fifth-generation Texan and his wife Lois a native Floridian, but they have chosen to make their home in Alabama. Graves is Professor Emeritus at Auburn University. He holds a B.A. from Baylor University, an M.Ed. from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. from Florida State University. His interest in poetry dates back to his high school years, emerged while a professor at Auburn, and came into full bloom later in his life.


The event is free, open to the public, and will be followed by refreshments. Books will be available for purchase and signing. The Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at Pebble Hill is located at 101 S. Debardeleben Street, Auburn.
