The Department of English is currently hosting a visiting scholar from Université de Toulon in France. Dr. Emmeline (Lili) Gros’s research explores gender and identity in the American South. She will give a public lecture on Thursday , July 28 at 3 p.m. in the RBD Colloquium space, ground floor. She will be talking about the French-American writer Julian Hartridge Green. This fiction author drew connections between France and the US South that are truly compelling, and his story is not widely known.
