Brent Fox

 

Associate Professor and Director of Student Affairs, Harrison School of Pharmacy

 

 

Brent Fox is a three-time Auburn alumnus, earning a bachelor’s, Doctor of Pharmacy and doctorate from the Harrison School of Pharmacy. His research focuses on pharmacy informatics education and the use of health information technology (HIT) in clinical practice, with a focus on medication management activities. Fox focuses on the incorporation of pharmacy informatics into professional pharmacy programs leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He also addresses the role of HIT in medication management through the use of mobile devices to support health and wellness, known as mHealth. The overall goal of his research is to improve medication use and medication-related behaviors by both patients and providers to enable improved medication-related outcomes.

 

Haley Phillippe

Haley Phillippe received a Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University in 2006. She completed a pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville. Phillippe then joined the Auburn Harrison School of Pharmacy faculty, where she focuses on outpatient family medicine. Her professional interests include anticoagulation, diabetes, dyslipidemia and hypertension.

 

 

Karen Marlowe

Karen Marlowe received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University. She completed her pharmacy practice residency at Egleston Hospital in Atlanta. After completing her residency, Marlowe initiated a practice in the cardiac intensive care and cardiopulmonary transplant units at Egleston. She accepted a teaching position with Auburn in 2000. Her areas of specialty are pain management, HIV/opportunistic infections, internal medicine advanced practice experience and clinical pharmacokinetics. Marlowe is the only pharmacist in Alabama credentialed in pain management by the American Academy of Pain Management. She is also a Certified Pain Educator and provides care for inpatient internal medicine patients, and maintains a consult service and patient advocacy program for patients with chronic pain or terminal illness.
