WriteBites Chats encourage cross-disciplinary conversation about the teaching of writing. Each chat spotlights faculty who have taken innovative approaches in their classroom, whether they are using writing technologies, integrating ePortfolios, scaffolding writing assignments, using writing to support critical thinking, or assessing writing. During each session, we will explore how a theme is taken up by faculty across an array of disciplinary contexts and then discuss how we might adapt strategies to address specific teaching situations. Featured faculty during this session, “Using Technology to Support Writing Instruction,” include James W. “Djibo” Zanzot (Biological Sciences), Scott Ketring (Human Development and Family Studies), and Emily Friedman (Department of English). Registration is required and lunch will be provided. Click here for more information and to register.
