September 12, 2019
Time: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: First Presbyterian Church

An Intergenerational, Interfaith and Multicultural Potluck, Dialogue, and Candle Light Vigil. Do you love your neighbor who does not look like you or worship like you? Why is racism, colorism, and xenophobia manifesting and killing children, women and men in Latino communities, African American churches, Muslim mosques, Jewish synagogues, and Sikh temples? What does the scripture, “...Love your neighbor as you love yourself” mean in a society where domestic terrorism and hatred is practiced? Join us to take a critical look at what it means today in the words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, to deliberately work together to “Become the Beloved Community.” Bring your favorite dish to share with your neighbors. We will intentionally look each other in the eye and listen to each other to begin the process of “Becoming the Beloved Community.” Beverages, paper plates and eating utensils will be provided. Free and open to the public. RVSP at https://www.becomingthebelovedcommunity.com/
