The Office of Public Service will be hosting a Lunch and Learn session on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Student Center in Room 2223 at 11:45am-12:45pm. We will have the Campus Kitchen Project, Backpack International Inc., and Our House presenting and providing volunteer opportunities for students and faculty at Auburn University. A light lunch will be provided. Please email Whitney Lee at wcl0011@auburn.edu if you would like to attend.
   
The Campus Kitchen Project is an emerging leader in community service for students and resourceful anti-hunger programs for communities around the country. They empower thousands of students each year to recycle food from their cafeterias, turn these donations into nourishing meals, and deliver those meals to those who need it most.
   
Backpack International Inc. is a U.S. based, 501(c) (3), nonprofit organization. Their mission is to share the love of Jesus with children in need around the world by ministering to their spiritual, academic, social, and physical needs.
   
Our House is an after-school outreach program that serves students from the Ridgecrest and Drake communities. They provide students with daily meals, assist with homework, and special projects. As they learn to be responsible for their assignments and studies. They intend to love, encourage, and mentor “Our Kids” while helping them gain confidence in their abilities to excel at school.
