November 12, 2018
Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location: Telfair Peet Theatre

For one night only, Dr. Frank-n-Furter and the Events Management Class of the Auburn Department of Theatre will be hosting a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” interactive performance experience: “The Rocky Horror Haunted Hour.”
“The Rocky Horror Haunted Hour” will take place on Monday, Nov. 12, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Telfair Peet Theatre. Admission is one canned good or non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Food Bank of East Alabama. This event will bring the world of Rocky Horror to life with murder mysteries, costume contest, shadow casts, re-creations of the most infamous scenes of the original “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and of course, plenty of audience participation.
“The Rocky Horror Haunted Hour” was designed to embrace the uniqueness of all people. The shadow cast will perform musical and dance numbers from the “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” including a dance-a-long to the infamous song, “Time Warp.” In addition, attendees will also have the chance to solve the mystery of Eddie’s murder with a scavenger hunt full of hidden clues. While visiting Dr. Frank-n-Furter’s castle, stop by the concession stand provided by AU Players and get your photo taken with the Transylvanians at the photo booth - complete with character props and a chaise lounge. Take our quiz on Facebook to find out which Rocky Horror character you are, then come dressed to impress for a chance to win our costume contest. Between the contests and a door prize, there are many opportunities to win fantastic donations from your favorite local organizations and locally made visual art by AU students!
Not only will the event be an exciting experience for all involved, but it will also help the local community. The Food Bank of East Alabama is a local charity that provides food and supplies to those who are food insecure within East Alabama, particularly the Auburn area. They strive to reduce food waste and raise public awareness of food and hunger-related issues. You can find more information about the Food Bank at foodbankofeastalabama.com.
Give yourself over to absolute pleasure for a night of unique fun and excitement as we celebrate our uniqueness while benefiting the East Alabama Food Bank.
