September 13, 2018
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM
Location: Mell 3550

The hybrid model of teaching and learning provides an opportunity to expand Auburn’s online presence and helps to support the goal of increasing student retention in STEM, especially in underrepresented groups. Twenty-first century lab spaces in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Geosciences in particular, are changing. Thus, our sessions will focus on new technologies and the need for more flexibility.

This workshop will help faculty through the process of integrating technology seamlessly into teaching hybrid courses. The Hybrid Course (Re)Design incorporates Dee Fink’s Significant Learning Experiences backward design process.

In this session you will:

  • Explore seamless cohesion of in and out of class activities
  • Learn technology and online tools for successful hybrid course design
