Academic writing doesn’t have to be stuffy and dry, and believe it or not, sometimes it is okay to use the word “I.” During this workshop we will analyze some writing samples to practice recognizing “voice” or style, and learn
how writing in the first person works, and doesn’t work, in various parts of scholarly writing. Participants should bring a piece of writing to work on as there will be hands-on time to revise your piece or think about its voice or style. Students, faculty,
and staff are welcome to attend, however, space is limited and registration is required. Click here to register or visit
the WoW Wednesdays webpage for more information.
