Monday, January 15, 2018 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 am Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Breakfast The Hotel at Auburn University – Dixon Conference Center
The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast, Monday, January 15, will be held at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. The event is sponsored by the Office of Inclusion
and Diversity and the Office of University Outreach, in partnership with The East Alabama Chapter of the National Forum for Black Administrators.
The purpose of the scholarship breakfast is to commemorate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his ideals for peace and unity. It involves individuals from all walks of life and is open to
the entire Auburn community.
The keynote speaker for the event is Ambassador Andrew Young, Civil Rights activist and former confidant to Dr. King. We aim to commemorate this important day by gathering diverse segments of our community
and celebrating Dr. King’s life and work, as well as his ideals for peace and unity.
The Office of Inclusion and Diversity encompasses the whole of the human experience. We aim to provide opportunities for campus and community engagement that fosters inclusiveness and advances equity. We hope
you can join us in commemorating Dr. King’s achievements enhancing the world we live in today.
