When asked what makes a good piece of writing good, oftentimes the answer is, “It just flows.” But what does that mean? This workshop unpacks what it means for text to “flow” and identifies how to strategically use sentence structure,
word choice, and effective transitions to improve the cadence of your writing. During the session, you will learn how focusing on individual sentences can help you recognize and avoid choppy writing and awkward wording. Participants will have the opportunity
to practice these strategies on your own work, so bring a project to work on. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend, however, space is limited and registration is required. Click
here to register or visit our event webpage for more information.
