Time: 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM
Location: Mell Classroom Building @ RBD Library, 3550

Online learning offers a unique opportunity to reach students where they live. However, engaging students in the online environment presents a particular set of challenges. Gone are the days of static learning in the online dimension. Faculty must get creative in order to keep online learners engaged in meaningful ways. Similar to face-to-face courses, integrating active learning into course material can go a long way to engage students (Khan, Egbue, Palkie & and Madden. 2017).

Participants in this workshop will:

  • Learn engaging activities that can be incorporated into online courses
  • Become knowledgeable of the tools available to engage students online
  • Build a community of faculty to support their efforts and share their process
