July 13, 2017
Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Location: Ralph B. Draughon Library Caroline Marshall Draughon Auditorium (on the ground floor of Draughon Library)

Join JCSM and RBD Library for a series of timely conversations about diversity and greater understanding prompted by objects from JCSM’s permanent collection. Each conversation will begin with an introduction by an art historian and a member of the Auburn University community. Our intention is to let the art prompt us into discussions that allow us to understand our differences and recognize the value of our diverse community.

On Thursday, July 13, Francisco Zuniga's “Impressions of Egypt” will be discussed at 4:30 p.m. Presenters include Scott Bishop, curator of adult education, Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and Nighet Ahmed, International Women for Peace and Understanding. Ahmed is also working on completing her PhD in adult education from Auburn University: “Muslim Women of Influence: A Cross-Cultural Study of Aspirations of Muslim Women in Morocco and the United States.”
