Location: Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center, 12130 Dixon Center Rd, Andalusia, AL.
Come visit the Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center on March 4, 2017 and run the 2nd annual Dixon Legend, a 5K, 10K, and ½ marathon trail run through the diverse forests of the Dixon Center's 5,000+ acres. Pace yourself as you run dirt roads and trails
through upland hardwood forests, across cool stream bottoms, or through the rolling hills of fire-maintained Longleaf Pine ecosystems.
Race times will be 7:45 a.m. for the ½ marathon and 8:00 a.m. for the 5K and 10K races. Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Solon Dixon Center on race morning. A pre-race registration and packet pickup will be held at the
USDA Service Building (23592 Alabama Hwy 55) auditorium from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on March 3, in Andalusia, Ala.
Registration can be done online at the SDFEC Marketplace or by completing a race form (available at sdfec.auburn.edu)
and mailing to the below address. Proceeds from the race support the operations of the Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
All registrations received prior to February 17, 2017 will receive a race T-shirt. 1st place finishers in each race will be awarded for male/female overall winners and specified age classes (see race form available on the website). Completion medals will
be awarded for the ½ marathon only.
Dorm-style rooms are available for reservation at the Dixon Center. However, alternative accommodations can be found within the nearby communities of Brewton and Andalusia. Visit http://www.explorebrewton.com/
