An eminent linguist, the author of more than 12 books, and the recipient of numerous honors and award, Dr. Cerquiglini has led a distinguished career as a university professor and
international administrator. He has taught and lectured at many European and American universities, and directed the Center for French and Francophone Studies at LSU.
Most recently, Dr. Cerquiglini served as Chancellor of the Agency of Francophone Universities, a multilateral organization that supports cooperation between 840 institutions of higher
learning and research centers. For many years, he has also hosted the very popular television program Merci professeur! on the global television network TV5 Monde.
