November 10, 2015
Time: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Location: Foy Hall 246

Rising costs of journals and textbooks inhibit researchers’ access to scholarship and students’ access to learning materials.  At this seminar, sponsored by the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, panelists will introduce Open Access (OA) and Open Educational Resources (OER) as cost-effective responses that can remove these barriers to high-quality information.  Participants will consider the benefits of each and how to maximize their use in research and teaching. Several faculty and students, including Dr. Nick Giordano, will share their positive experiences with these resources.

The session will be in Foy Hall room 246 on Tuesday, November 10 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.  Pre-registration is requested on the website at http://wp.auburn.edu/biggio/registration/

Snacks will be provided; for questions, please call the Biggio Center at 844.8530 or email biggio1@auburn.edu .
