After Mandela: South African Education
in the Context of Politics, Business & Race
Informed by first-hand knowledge gained as a Fulbright Scholar in Cape Town, South Africa, Dr. Stacey Nickson, Director K-12 Outreach and Fulbright Specialist at Auburn University, will discuss the impact of current politics, business, and race on South Africa today.  Dr. Nickson's presentation will explore whether the post-Mandela politics of the African National Congress (ANC) and the policies of Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) are driving South Africa towards Mandela’s vision or draining the “rainbow nation” of its vitality and viability?
