The Multicultural Center kick off the Diversity Educational Series with a presentation by Christina Rivera-Garza. Mrs. Garza is the award winning author of six novels, three collections of short stories, five collections of poverty,
and three non-fiction books. She is the recipient of the Roger Caillois Award for Latin American Literature (Paris, 2013) and the Anna Seghers Award (Berlin, 2005). She is the only author to have won the International Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize twice.
Ms. Garza will discuss her journey to becoming an award-winning author.
