The Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA) at the College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting the “Tails and Trails” 5K run and 1-mile fun run on Saturday, Aug. 22 to help raise awareness of and research funds for Alzheimer’s.
Dogs on leash are welcome; they must be up-to-date on vaccinations.
The cost is $20 until Aug. 17, then $15 plus a $2.50 registration fee. Children at $12 plus a $2.50 registration fee.
The event will be held at Town Creek Park in Auburn, Ala. The 5K run will begin at 7:30 a.m. CST, and the 1-mile fun run for children will begin at 7:40 a.m. CST.
