The Department of Music presents Tango Orchestra Club Atlanta in a performance on April 3 at 7:30 pm in Goodwin Recital Hall. Tango Orchestra Club Atlanta (TOCA) is an Atlanta-based community orchestra of professional and trained musicians who love tango.
They perform authentic Argentine tango arrangements both para escuchar (concert tangos for listening) and para bailar (tango for dancing at a milonga). Their repertory includes classic tango, tango nuevo, and contemporary tango. For this concert TOCA is joined
by internationally acclaimed bandoneonist Osvaldo Barrios.
Advanced tickets are available online for all patrons (students and non-students) at $10 per ticket, available until noon the day before the event. Patrons will need to bring one form of ID to pick up their ticket from the will-call table set up one hour before the event begins. The name on the ID must match the name on the order. If advanced tickets are not picked up by fifteen minutes prior to the event, then they may be resold for waiting patrons. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and children, and will be sold at the door one hour prior to performance time.
