Location: Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art
Starting at 5 pm, the Museum Café is open on Thursdays with tapas, beer, wine, and specialty cocktail menus. Prices range from $7 to $10, and the portions are meant for sharing.
From 6 to 7 pm, hear live jazz in the lobby by some of the best local and regional musicians. The house band is the Cullars Improvisational Rotation. Others will occasionally perform.
At 7 pm, the Third Thursday Poetry series features invited poets from the region and beyond. Unless otherwise advertised, there is an open mic for audience members to participate. On October 16,
a group of poets will honor Jake Adam York.
