The College of Agriculture’s Ag Council in partnership with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is showing the film “Farmland” to the Foy Ballroom Wednesday, October 8 at 6 p.m. The film by Academy Award-winning director James
Moll looks into the lives of six farmers and ranchers, all of whom are in their 20s. This next generation of farmers is tasked with producing more food on less land for a growing world, and “Farmland” gives an inside look at that food production. This is only
the second time “Farmland” has been shown in Alabama and is the first private screening in the state. The film is open to all ages. There will be a pizza dinner before and a panel discussion with agriculture experts after. Any questions can be directed to Sarah
Stephenson at srs0025@auburn.edu.
