Explore the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Center and learn something new each month about plants, wildlife and nature with a trained naturalist who will offer your family fun opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and exercise! Discovery Hikes are offered the second Tuesday of each month from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. For families with children ages 5 to 12. Each month features a new seasonal theme. Groups meet at the pavilion located at the Forest Ecology Preserve on 2222 North College Street, Auburn, AL. Guided tours are free. Donations are welcomed. Cancelled in the event of rain.
This month's theme is Pond Life. Explore our pond from where it originates at the freshwater springs to the dam and waterfall. What do frogs and turtles do as the weather turns cold? Learn all about the amazing life found in our pond!
