Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: 112 Thach Hall

On Thursday, April 10, there will be a free screening of the award-winning documentary, “One Dollar,” at 7:30pm, in 112 Thach. The film follows four college students who left their homes in the U.S. to live on just $1 a day for two months in a rural Guatemalan village. $56 for 56 days, how would you survive? The students faced intense difficulties, and realized that while there are no easy solutions to poverty, there are effective ways to make a difference. These events promote the ideals of public service, and facilitate understanding and awareness of the challenges of our global environment, including issues surrounding education, gender equity, international development, entrepreneurialism, and the importance of a multicultural and global outlook.
Free admission and complimentary refreshments.
