Engaged Scholars Lunch-N-Learn on Multicultural Poetry Performance To Be Held April 15

Theatre Professor and CLA Engaged Scholar Daydrie Hague will discuss multicultural poetry performance on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:45 a.m. in Tichenor Hall Room 310.  For the past several years, Professor Hague and senior performance majors in the Department of Theatre have collaborated with students in the extended day program at Loachapoka Elementary School.  The “Lift Every Voice—A Celebration of Multicultural Poetry” program leads students to research, rehearse, and perform a variety of African American and Latino praise poetry for the public.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch; drinks and desserts will be provided. The session is sponsored by the Community and Civic Engagement Initiative in the College of Liberal Arts.  For more information, contact Dr. Giovanna Summerfield at summegi@auburn.edu or 334-844-2890.
