March 24, 2014
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art

The School of Communication & Journalism in the College of Liberal Arts is pleased to present this year's Jay Sanders Film Series, which will feature acclaimed filmmaker Debbie Lum, on Monday, March 24, at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. Lum will present her award-winning film, “Seeking Asian Female” beginning at 7 p.m.

“Seeking Asian Female” is the story of a white, middle-aged American man who seeks (and finds) an Asian bride. The result is an intensely personal and eccentric story of interracial relationships, love, and marriage. “Seeking Asian Female” was shown on the PBS series “Independent Lens” and selected for several national and international film festivals, including “Best of Fest,” at the AFI-Discovery Channel/Silverdocs Film Festival.

The screening is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the School of Communication and Journalism in the College of Liberal Arts, the University Special Lectures Fund, and the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.
