This Lunch and Learn series will feature contributors to the book “What the Village Gave Me”. During this panel discussion, the contributors – all women of color – present their varies experiences regarding the conceptualizations of womanhood, beauty,
and gender roles. Similar to the book, the goal of this event is to illuminate how these issues intersect with the transmission of cultural norms, marriage rates, and the development of professional self-efficacy.
Event is free and open to the public.
