February 19, 2014
Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: Walker Building, Room 1106

The Auburn chapter of the National Community Pharmacists Association is hosting a “Be The Match” bone marrow registry drive from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The registry drive will take place in the Walker Building (across from Petrie Hall on the Thach Concourse) in the Flat Auditorium (Room 1106). For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 25 years Be The Match®, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. We work every day to save lives through transplant. By giving just a couple minutes of your time for a mouth swab, you can be added to the registry. The drive is open to those ages 18-44. If you cannot register, you can contribute by making a donation. For every $100 raised, it helps add another member to the registry. You can contribute at www.BeTheMatchOnCampus.org/Auburn or text MATCH 210 to 50555 to give $10.
