The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, in collaboration with the Africana Studies Program and the Office of Multicultural and Diversity Affairs, is pleased to
invite you to the screening of “Inside Buffalo” and “Ius Soli”; two award-winning documentaries by Italian-Ghanaian director Fred Kuwornu.

Lecture, Screening and Discussion Hosted by Director Fred Kuwornu and Professor Shelleen Greene
Fred Kudjo Kuwornu is an Italian-Ghanaian activist-producer-writer and director of the documentary Inside Buffalo that was awarded “Best Documentary” at the Black Berlin International Cinema Festival, and has been shown at the Pentagon, the Library of Congress, and at major Black Film Festivals around the world.
Shelleen Greene is Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her research interests include Italian film, race and ethnic studies, Black European studies, cultural studies, postcolonial studies, and globalization and visual culture.
