A chemistry demonstration for children and the general public, including gas balloons, spectacular reactions, elephant toothpaste and making ice cream with liquid nitrogen, will be presented
on the lawn in front of the Chemistry Building prior to the Auburn vs. Arkansas kick-off. The event will begin at 1 p.m. on Oct. 22, and participants will receive a souvenir periodic table that includes the newest elements. As part of the American Chemical
Society’s celebration of National Chemistry Week, the Auburn local section of the American Chemical Society, the Auburn Chapter of the National Association for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers, the Chemistry Graduate Students
Association, and Auburn’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will sponsor the event. For more information, send an email to
