Learn about the native American tribes of Alabama and the Muscogees (upper Creeks) that once lived at the preserve.
Join our guides for a peaceful morning walk as you take in the many sights and sounds of the preserve. Nature Walks offer excellent opportunities to socialize and learn, while enjoying fresh air and exercise in our beautiful outdoors. Walks are for adults only
and offered the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. No pre-registration is required.
Canceled in the event of rain. Hikes are free to the public. Donations are welcomed.
This program will be held at the Louise Kreher Preserve & Nature Center unless otherwise noted. The nature center is located at 2222 N. College Street near the AU Fisheries and Hwy 280. For more information, visit
