Research symposium: The Evolution of Election Administration since the Voting Rights Act: 1965-2015.
The symposium will be held at The Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center on Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.. The event is sponsored by The Election Center as well as the Political Science Department and the MPA Program, and will be an excellent
opportunity for student networking and job placement.
Speakers include US EAC Commissioner Tom Hicks, federal Voting Rights Act consultant Bruce Adelson, Council of State Governments Director of Federal Voting Assistance Programs Kamanzi Kalisa, federal Presidential Commission on Election Assistance member
Tammy Patrick, NCSL Program Director Wendy Underhill, and noted academics who specialize in election administration and policy including Dan Smith (University of Florida), Martha Kropf (University of North Carolina), Paul Herrnson (University of Connecticut),
and Merle King (Kennesaw State University).
