Special guest and author Joe Perry will present "Christmas in Germany: A Cultural History" at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 5 pm. Perry is an associate professor
of modern German and European history at Georgia State University and author of "German Christmas: A Cultural History." He will explore the invention, evolution, and politicization of Germany's favorite national holiday. A book signing and reception will follow
the lecture. Advance registration is encouraged via the museum's website.
