Sam Price will be presenting “Intercultural Communication through Music” on Wednesday, November 20th from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Student Center, room 2223. A junior in interdisciplinary studies (anthropology, biology, and
psychology) focusing on communication and cognitive development and their relationships to music, Sam will be presenting on the role music plays in society and the need to preserve endangered music through audio and video documentation. He will also be sharing
what his group Global Icaro is doing to help preserve the music, dance, and oral histories of different folk cultures. This will preface the independent trip he is taking to India this winter break to study Bengali folk music.
