The Office of University Writing, ePortfolio Project and Auburn University Libraries are excited to welcome copyright and fair use lawyer, Brandon Butler to campus. Butler is the practitioner-in-residence at the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic at the Washington College of Law at American University. His legal experience spans a wide variety ofissues, including copyright, fair use, network neutrality, trademark prosecution, and corporate transactions involving intellectual property. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Butler will deliver a public lecture that is open to all students and faculty. The lecture, “Rip, Mix, Burn: Exercise Your Copy Rights for Multimedia Projects,” will be held from 3:00-4:30 PM in the RBD Library’s Archives and Special Collections.
