Description of the Event: Acclaimed Latina author Cristina Garcia will offer an open Q&A discussion for the Auburn community. Her most recent novel, King of Cuba, provides a satirical and lyrical portrait of Cuba's Fidel Castro.
Though largely known as a storyteller for the Hispanic community, Garcia is a captivating speaker sure to educate and entertain a diverse audience. This is an event sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures
and the Department of English in conjunction with the Auburn Writers Conference. Our special guest speaker, Cuban-American author Cristina García, will be holding a Q&A session for all AU students, faculty, staff and the local community. This event is free
