Candis A. McGowan will speak as part of the Pre-Law Scholars Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 12:30 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest North (on top of Haley Center).

McGowan received her B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Auburn University and her law degree from Cumberland School of Law. She is a partner with the Birmingham law firm of Wiggins, Childs, Quinn and Pantazis, LLC. McGowan’s practice has
primarily involved representation of plaintiffs in employment litigation matters, with the vast majority of her cases involving litigation in the federal court system. She was selected for inclusion in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 America’s Best Lawyers, Labor
and Employment Law; Super Lawyers 2013; Alabama Best Lawyer 2012; and Top Employment Lawyer 2012- eBoss Watch Nationwide List.
