Juan E. Gilbert, Presidential Endowed Professor and Chair of the Human-Centered Computing Division in Clemson University's School of Computing, will be the first speaker in the Black Graduate and Professional Student Association's Distinguished Lecturer
Series on Monday, Sept. 30, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 2222 of the Student Center. Previously an Auburn professor in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, Gilbert is a National Associate of the National Research Council of the National Academies, an
ACM Distinguished Speaker, and a Senior Member of the IEEE. Impressively, Dr. Gilbert was recently named one of the 50 most important African-Americans in Technology. BGPSA's Distinguished Lecturer Series brings established scholars to speak to minority students
