On Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, James R. Pratt, a partner with the law firm Hare, Wynn, Newell and Newton in Birmingham, and currently serving on the Auburn University Board of Trustees, will kick off the Pre-Law Scholars Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series at 12:30 in the Eagle’s Nest (North) – at the top of Haley Center.

Pratt is a graduate of Auburn University and the Cumberland School of Law. His practice areas include personal injury/wrongful death, products liability, and complex commercial litigation. Pratt was selected for membership to the Inner Circle of Advocates (a group limited to 100 attorneys nationwide), and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers. He was selected as one of the top 500 plaintiff lawyers in the U.S. by Dragon Law and designated a Super Lawyer in Alabama. Pratt has served as President of the Alabama State Bar and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association.
